Buckle up cuz Brooklyn's The Royal They are already kicking down the door with their sophomore LP 'Foreign Being' and it's a monster of soaring vocal mania, off-kilter riffage, and more hooks than a tackle box.

lyrics
Walking over
Slowly, surely
Hesitation in your hands
Social circles aren't generous
They'll all judge you where you stand
You want to say less...
Tumbling out so quick
You lose your breath
Stopping just to get some air
Looking up to see that they all left
Then again, who really cares?
You want to say less...
In your mind
It's not surprising
That they would respond in kind
Since you know
So surely
What goes on in someone else's mind
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
